Simple, clever solutions for energy efficiency and healthy homes

At AirEx, we're helping make homes healthier and more energy efficient with the world's first smart air brick; a simple and low cost solution for homes with suspended floors.

The AirEx Floorvent replaces traditional air bricks. With built-in sensors and live weather information it manages airflow intelligently, closing when conditions allow to reduce heat loss and improve thermal comfort, then opening when needed to help manage moisture and reduce the risk of damp and timber decay.

It improves EPC scores, reduces draughts, and keeps homes warm. It’s quick and easy to install. Plus, by cutting heat loss, it lowers energy bills for residents. AirEx Floorvent is a fabric energy efficiency measure that also monitors conditions within the underfloor void.

About AirEx

We are a climate tech company tackling fuel poverty and climate change through cost-effective smart home solutions.

Our smart ventilation control technology responds to the environment, reducing energy demand by limiting unnecessary heat loss, while providing ventilation when needed.

Floorvent focuses on underfloor airflow: check out how it works in the video. We are now extending this approach to living spaces, helping to balance energy performance with good ventilation throughout the home.

We believe homes should be living and breathing, adapting to the environment and needs of residents. We aim to provide simple, clever solutions to help landlords and retrofit professionals create healthy homes fit for residents today and in the future.

Retrofit upgrades can feel disruptive, leaving many residents hesitant. Floorvent is quick to install and non-intrusive. It requires no major work or access to the main living space. Once in place, it works automatically, keeping homes warmer while helping to protect against damp and timber decay.

For housing providers and retrofit coordinators, it’s a cost-effective, high-impact solution suitable for many homes. Eligible for funding through Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund, Warm Homes: Local Grant and regional retrofit programme, it helps projects stay on time and within budget.
