Ventilation
Too often, home ventilation is either too much or too little. The extremes can lead to uncomfortable homes and higher bills, or persistent problems like condensation, damp and mould. At AirEx, we believe airflow should respond to the actual needs of the home, so that it can be right for the residents while also working for the home.
Our Floorvent technology already shows how this can work. By controlling airflow, it cuts unnecessary heat loss while still allowing air movement where and when it matters. This helps keep homes warmer, drier, and more comfortable for residents. We’re also developing Roomvent, designed for use in habitable rooms, to take our proven approach into the rest of the home.
Rethinking airflow in energy efficient homes
Comfort and compliance can work together
Improving energy efficiency should never come at the cost of comfort or air quality. Our approach uses sensor-driven airflow that works with existing passive or mechanical systems. This helps maintain balance, meeting the needs of both the home and its occupants.
We’ve worked closely with retrofit professionals to ensure our solutions align with Buildiing Regulations and PAS 2035. Our aim is to support better retrofit outcomes, working with residents to help acceptance of ventilation, improve long-term comfort and maintain the health of homes.
Our smart systems can enable homes to adapt to daily, seasonal and long term changes. Whether this is caused by resident activities, weather, home upgrades or changes in occupancy our ventilation systems can react and respond to keep homes healthy and residents comfortable.
Think of AirEx systems as a smart thermostat, but for ventilation.
A whole-house strategy for retrofit success
Many retrofit programmes struggle to balance energy savings with healthy airflow. AirEx is addressing this gap. Our vision is simple, smart airflow control that works across the home — under the floor and in key living spaces.
By using AirEx products, housing providers can reduce heat loss, support indoor air quality, and increase resident comfort in one joined-up system. It’s a high-impact, low-disruption approach designed for large-scale delivery under schemes like ECO4 and Warm Homes.
We are now planning pilots of our Roomvent system. If you would like to participate please get in touch.
