Agnes Czako Named Clean Technology Innovator of the Year at Women in Business Awards

Agnes Czako, Founder and CEO of AirEx named Clean Technology Innovator of the Year at the Women in Green Business Awards 2025

Celebrating Leadership and Innovation in Clean Technology at AirEx

Agnes Czako, Founder and CEO of AirEx Technologies, has been named Clean Technology Innovator of the Year at the 2025 BusinessGreen Women in Green Business Awards.

The annual awards, held at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in London, brought together more than 350 business leaders, entrepreneurs, and sustainability experts from across the UK’s green economy. The event celebrates the women who are shaping the future of sustainability, from developing clean technologies and driving policy change, to building businesses that support a fairer, greener economy.

Recognising innovation and impact

In one of the evening’s most competitive categories, Agnes was recognised for her “impressive track record in developing and commercialising an innovative technology to tackle emissions, improve health, and reduce fuel poverty.”

The judges hailed AirEx as “a great British clean tech success story that is now demonstrating real-world results and strong revenue growth.”

This recognition reflects Agnes’ vision, determination, and commitment to creating simpler, smarter solutions for energy efficiency and healthy homes, as well as the work of the entire AirEx team in bringing that vision to life.

Leading by example

Under Agnes’ leadership, AirEx has grown from a start-up idea into an award-winning clean technology manufacturer whose smart air bricks are now installed in more than 32,000 homes across the UK. The company’s mission remains clear; to reduce heat loss, improve living conditions, and make energy efficiency more accessible for all.

Agnes continues to be an advocate for innovation, inclusivity, and impact across the clean tech sector, values that sit at the heart of AirEx’s culture.

Recognising diversity and inclusion

We’re also incredibly proud that Nicola Giles, AirEx’s Head of People and Culture, was also shortlisted for Diversity and Inclusion Champion at the same awards.

Nicola’s nomination highlights her passion for creating an inclusive, supportive, and empowering workplace culture, ensuring everyone at AirEx has the opportunity to thrive. Her recognition in a particularly strong line-up of nominees is a testament to the values that underpin everything we do as a company.

About the Women in Green Business Awards

The Women in Green Business Awards, organised by BusinessGreen, showcase the many women driving the UK’s transition to a net zero economy. This year’s Chair of Judges, Cecilia Keating, described the awards as both “a celebration of brilliant individuals working across the green economy” and “a chance to showcase organisations that are rethinking business practices to better embrace diversity.”

At AirEx, we couldn’t agree more. Diversity, innovation, and collaboration are vital to delivering the sustainable future we all want to see.

Congratulations once again to Agnes and Nicola and to all the inspiring finalists and winners from across the UK’s green economy.
